Sunlight and shade
LSA’s technical sheet lists a minimum of two hours of sunlight a day. Treat that as a starting point for assessment: trees, buildings and seasonal shade can change the light that actually reaches the turf.

Meet Stampede Hybrid Buffalo
Stampede is a hybrid Buffalo cultivar developed through controlled breeding. Lawn Solutions Australia (LSA) describes it as a next-generation option following trials in Australia and the US. Consider it alongside the light, use and upkeep of your own lawn.

The opening lawn photo and this leaf close-up are supplied Stampede variety reference images. The Oatlands photos below show Sydney Turfing’s own installation. Reported variety benefits come from LSA, rather than long-term observations of this new lawn.
Choosing for your property
Our October 2026 Oatlands installation used approximately 35 m² of Stampede. The photo shows the freshly laid finish; the assessment for your lawn starts with its own conditions.

LSA’s technical sheet lists a minimum of two hours of sunlight a day. Treat that as a starting point for assessment: trees, buildings and seasonal shade can change the light that actually reaches the turf.
The same technical sheet recommends free-draining soil. We assess the ground and nearby paths before deciding what preparation is needed.
Tell us where people and pets usually cross the lawn. Plan another route during establishment, including for narrow side yards.
Allow for regular mowing, watering checks and edge care. We explain the establishment routine for your site when the turf is laid.
Oatlands · preparation
At Oatlands, the photos show exposed soil prepared and rolled along the side lawn, followed by fresh Stampede fitted beside the curved path, wall and posts.
For your property, we assess removal, soil preparation, levels and access before quoting. The installation and first watering are followed by guidance on moisture checks, foot traffic and the first mow.

We quote for the property, including the lawn area, access, removal, preparation and turf laying. Send your suburb, approximate area and photos so we can assess the work and confirm current availability.
We need to check the amount and pattern of light, soil moisture and nearby trees. A variety’s shade rating cannot confirm that every shaded yard will support a lawn.
Yes. Fresh turf needs moisture while roots grow into the prepared soil. Check the whole lawn and follow the establishment advice for your weather and site; drought-tolerance claims do not remove that need.
