The property

This side yard had a slim lawn area between the home, fence and planted garden. Existing stepping stones and building services made every part of the available width important.

The challenge

Soil and turf had to be moved through a tight access route, then fitted around several existing features. The goal was to keep the stepping-stone path useful while creating one continuous strip of lawn.

  • Fit and trim the turf beside the garden and home

How it came together

  1. 01Plan the access route and lawn shape
  2. 02Prepare the soil around the path and garden edge
  3. 03Lay and trim the turf through the side yard
  4. 04Water the lawn and check the joins and edges
